Deep garnet-purple colored, it charges out of the gate with powerful scents of plum preserves and blueberry compote, followed by maturing nuances of unsmoked cigars, new leather, Chinese five spice and dried mint. The full-bodied palate is dense with black fruit preserves and lightly chewy tannins, supported by a lively backbone, finishing long and spicy.
