Very deep, dark-ruby red color is almost black at the core. Aromas are of vivid, juicy blackcurrant & very ripe, concentrated liquorice. The deep blackcurrant & cherry fruit on the palate is smooth & voluptuous. The acidity is soft. There is plenty of cedary new oak & a structure of fine, ripe velvety tannins. The alcohol is warm & the finish is a little short & closed up at present.
