The Café de Chamarel is grown and roasted on the island since the end of the 60s. Its artisanal production takes place in two places: Chamarel for its temperature, its rainfall and the quality of its soils; Case Noyale for its sunshine. Its transformation is done by the so-called 'washed' method - longer than the 'dry' method, but by which the intrinsic properties of the grain are preserved, the pulp being separated from the grain before drying.
