It was in 1969 that the Bécot family, established in Saint-Emilion since the French Revolution, bought Château Beau-Séjour, located on an exceptional and unique limestone terroir within this prestigious appellation.
The property now extends over 22 hectares covering a homogeneous terroir. Many technical innovations in the vineyard have been carried out by Michel Bécot's two sons, which led to Château Beau-Séjour Bécot being classified as a Premier Cru in 1996.
The best grapes are meticulously selected and sorted by hand grain by grain. It is now the sixth generation, guided by the search for excellence, the respect of the terroir, the traditions and the thirst for innovation, which season after season, vintage after vintage works to maintain the property in the first rank of the world's greatest growths.
Under the vineyard, 7 hectares of ancient and mysterious limestone quarries shelter, in ideal conditions, several tens of thousands of bottles which testify to the constancy and history of the Château.
