Boekenhoutskloof's cult Swartland red blend, poured in a striking 300cl Jeroboam. The Chocolate Block is built mainly around old-vine Syrah, layered with Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and a whisper of co-fermented Viognier. Expect a perfumed, brambly nose of dark berries, violet and warm spice, with hints of olive and mocha threading through. The palate is juicy and medium-to-full bodied, framed by fine, polished tannins and a long, spiced finish.
