Spiced Christmas Shortbread with Almond Powder
INGREDIENTS
For 20 cookies:
- 100g butter
- 100g sugar
- 1 egg
- 220g flour
- 1/2 packet of Baking Powder
- 70g almond powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla powder
EQUIPMENT
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- Plastic Wrap
- Parchment Paper
- Rolling Pin
- Star-shaped Cookie Cutters (optional)
PREPARATION OF SPICED CHRISTMAS SHORTBREAD WITH ALMOND POWDER:
In a mixing bowl, combine soft butter and sugar.
Mix until you achieve a creamy texture.
Add the egg and vanilla powder.
Pour in the flour, baking powder, almond powder, and a pinch of salt. Work the mixture until well combined. Form a ball and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 165°C (th.6).
Roll out the dough on your work surface and create your cookies using gingerbread, tree, snowflake-shaped cookie cutters, etc. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Repeat the process until all the dough is used (feel free to refrigerate the cookies between steps).
Bake for 10 minutes or until they have a beautiful golden color.
Once the cookies have cooled, decorate them with various decorative products from Vahiné, and you're done!
